Originally labeled with an 8 year old age statement jb black now comes to us as extra aged. The result is a full bodied bourbon with an extra level of elegance and refinement that s meant to be sipped and savored.

This kentucky straight bourbon from beam was formerly known as jim beam double aged. It is aged longer than jim beam original also known as jim beam white label. That s why jim beam black is and always will be extra aged to taste and bottled only when it s just right. As i mentioned before this is an easy drinking bourbon and would be appropriate as an inexpensive go to for cocktails or mixers.

I prefer the black label too. I recently did some work on the jim beam double oak and had heard that many people preferred the jim beam black. Jim beam black is a premium bourbon with a more flavorful character made to be sipped and savored. And of course just like its younger brother our original jim beam it s best when shared with others.
