Install Bathroom Heater Light

I have a bathroom that has an exhaust fan with a light and heater which are all separate units.

Warm up to a job well done. After completing the installation turn the branch circuit breaker back on and test your new bathroom heater fan. If you re unsure of the total circuit load or the circuit capacity don t guess. If possible run the duct straight out through a wall.

An electrician deactivates the electrical circuit before you start the job. Reshape the sheet rock hole as needed. In addition to a vent fan a bathroom unit may have a light night light or heater. A heater uses more power than a light and fan so it may need to be on its own circuit.

Light heater fans install in the ceiling at the location of the existing fan and operate using switches on the wall. Before you install your new bathroom exhaust fan heater you ll have to calculate the circuit load. In the attic there were two wire cable feeds. It is possible that hat the circuit wire size running to the lights is not adequate to allow for a heater kit.

Plan the installation so the vent duct is as short as possible and makes as few turns as possible. Install the new bathroom heater fan according to the manufacturer s instructions.
